Anita Abdulkadir: ANITA ABDULKADIR was born in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1968. She works predominantly on canvas using mixed media that include pattern paper, with some distinguish techniques such as masking and stamping. These combined techniques are dominating most of her works, deriving from her personal expression found in her art journal. Never had any formal education in paintings or art, does not stopping her from producing many interesting 'one of a kind' paintings. Learnt mostly through practices and in autodidact way, her works were also influenced by well known mixed media artists such as Wyanne, Kelly Rae Roberts and Christy Tomlinson. Through an interesting 5 years time of her art journey, she finally managed to developed her path and 'found' her style. She lives with her beloved husband and two handsome sons in South Jakarta. Painting will always be her passion, way of expressing her state of emotion and ultimately, way of getting out from a daily bustling live without leaving home.
