A Girl & Night Owl

Since five days ago, my office were closed for celebrating  Eid al Fitr (Moeslem big celebration days ) and usually with this long holiday, I have a lot of plan to do my art work.
But what happened was, during those five days (even I assume during the holidays that will end at 11th August 2013) I did't do anything, not even produce any single artwork. Why?

The last working day before our  office closed, I met with some of my friends to have dinner together, some of them  wanted to see my artwork. Proudly, I show them  some of my painting's pictures on my iphone. However, unlike the usual responds that I used to get from my other friends, this two friends of mine asked, "what is the story behind this painting?" I was somewhat surprised to hear this question. For me, I draw what I want to draw at that momen, and even in some of my art journal, I drew based on my mood at that time.

Then one of those two friends even said that the eyes of the girl in my painting was very "spooky". Even after I show them my other  paintings, they still think that my paintings do not have a story and even the eyes of the girl in the painting looks empty, bla .. bla .. bla ..

I don't know the intent of this two people who I consider my friends but it seems that they don't know how to be a friend. But,apparently, their efforts have been successful to bring me down . I lost my passion to create anything after they underestimated my artwork.

Or should I accept their criticism ? By what? Change my painting style?
Art can not be wrong, because art is an expression of one's feelings that can only felt  by the artist , while others  can only enjoy it if  they like it or  just ignore it if it does not suit to your style and taste.
But please appreciate other person works...please.

The above is just  an interlude, only to pull out my feelings toward my two friends. Although one of them has apologized, after he saw my mood's changes right after their comments on  my paintings.

Apparently, we need to ignore them and continue our life....

Back to my artwork, this time I would like to share with you my other  painting using water color.

I put pattern paper as her dess.

The Night Owl.

I draw a house behind the girl.

You can see the "pattern" moon. :-)

The painting
My question for you who are visiting this post, please share what is the story ( according to you) when you see this painting. I will give you the reprint of this painting (for free) for one best story.
I will wait your story until end of August 2013.

Thank you for visiting my post.

(Ceritanya begini :)
Menunggu Teman

Mari sedikit meminta padaNYA, siapa tahu DIA mendengar ^_^ :
